Hearts Charitable Trust

(formerly HEARTS, Hearts Foundation) began in January 2000 as a response to the vulnerability and neglect of street children. Our focus was to reaching them early, re-uniting with families where possible and also providing opportunities through education, health care and vocational trainings.

We strengthened through support from Future In Our Hands whose values such as co -operation, sharing, fellowship, truth and compassion inspired us. In the last 25 glorious years of celebrating Silver Jubilee, Hearts has grown from street children project to running a residential home for the orphan children with invaluable support of volunteers from Australia, U.K, Ireland, U.S.A, etc. We are also ever so grateful to many personalities and charities in India and overseas particularly Dr. P. Parivaraj, Mike Thomas, Miriam Van Duuren, Hugh Copeland, Louis Ronan, Kathryn Segesser, David Maidment, Dr. Syam Stoll and Lifesong .

And also Hearts supported tribal children in remote colonies to run day care centers, assisted in natural calamities such as Tsunami (2004), Gujarat Earthquake (2002), Orissa Super Cyclone (1999) and recent Covid-19.

We aim to reach out to underprivileged children through education, health care, skill training and equal rights for a better quality of life.

VISION would strive to enable poor rural household and communities to be Self-reliant and Sustainable.

Our Focus

Our main focus is Children, Health & Sanitation, Sustainable Career Development, and Skill Development for the poor and needy.
